苗場山の池塘 Wetland near the Summit of Mt. Naeba
先週の週末、管理人が狭山丘陵に無線をしに行ったときは、我が家の隊長は山登りでした。
行き先は、新潟・長野の県境、スキーでは有名な苗場山、標高2,145mでした。登り4時間半で、最後の方はきつかったそうです。頂上の自然体験交流センターに泊まり、帰りは長野県側に下りて小赤沢温泉に入ってから帰ってきました。
山頂の南西側に、2,000m級の山頂付近には珍しい、１キロ四方近くもありそうな広い湿地帯があり、池塘が点在しているそうです。

ここは上信越高原国立公園、JAFF-0013、の中心部です。
The young lady in my home went for a moutain climbing last weekend while I was activating JAFF-0199. The mountain she conquered was Mt. Naeba, meaning a nursery place, 2,145m a.s.l. on the border of Niigata and Nagano prefectures. There is a spacious wetland around the summit. It is rare for this height of more than 2,000m. This area is in the Joshin'etsukogen National Park, JAFF-0013. The group tour by bus with two guides and lodging inclusive cost her considerable amount of money.
