Best Castles in Japan 日本１００名城

Looking for information on castles in the Kanto region, I became aware that the Japan Castle Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed by scholars, researchers and enthusiasts of the castle, selected the best one hundred castles in Japan in 2006.

The three castles that I visited and operated radio from them this year are in the list by coincidence. I am considering visiting the remaining six castles but they may not be suited for radio operation as some require climbing up hills and some are in crowded cities.
I think I have visited forty-nine castles out of those one hundred over the years, but I do not remember some well since they were seen long time ago.

城に関するインフォメーションをあれこれ集めているうちに、「日本１００名城」というものが選ばれていることに気が付きました。一口に名城といっても、選ぶのはなかなか難しいと思いますが、選定した㈶日本城郭協会によりますと、対象を①優れた文化財・史跡、②著名な歴史の舞台、③時代・地域の代表、と規定し、各都道府県から１城以上５城以内として選んだそうです。
偶然ですが、今年になってから見に行って、無線をした３つの城は、皆このリストに載っています。

関東（山梨含まず）には９城があります。江戸時代は、関東地方は将軍のお膝元で、御三家の一つの水戸藩以外は大きい大名がおらず、中規模の藩も将軍家に遠慮したのか財政不如意だったのか、石垣を築かない城が多く、江戸城（と小田原城）以外にあまり城らしい近世の城がありません。一つの県に少なくとも一つという基準で入ったと思われるものがあるようです。また、山地や山すその堅固な地形に築かれた戦国時代の城が４つ選ばれています。

今年行ったところ以外のところの多くは、まだ見たことがないので、行ってみたいと思っていますが、かなりの登りが必要なもの、山が近いもの、都市の中心にあるものなどがあって、無線に適したところはあまりないようです。
全国のリストに当たってみたところ、子供のころから城に興味を持っていたこともあるのか、１００のうち４９の城に行っているようです。ただ、一部は年月が経ってしまい、良く覚えていません。
