Woodcutter Higher Up 高所作業

I saw a high tree its trunk being cut higher up rather than at its base in a park in my neighborhood the other day.

The workers said it was a black locust tree, Robinia psuedoacasia, and they employed this complicated method to aviod damages to the water tanks below.

Radio amatuers may understand why I was attracted by that work high up.

After cutting the portion of the trunk swung wildly towards a tall Himalayan cedar, hit it and stopped.

先日、近所の公園で、高所作業車が出動し、ニセアカシアの大木の幹を、１回に１メートル強くらいの長さで、少しづつ伐採しているところに出会いました。アマチュア無線家の方々はお分かりでしょうけれど、高所作業に目を引かれがちになります。
